Red House Children's Book Award 2012

The shortlist for this award which is entirely voted for by children is out. Every year, there are 3 categories, coming together to create the Top 10:

Younger Children
“Rollo and Ruff and the Little Fluffy Bird” by Mick Inkpen
“Don’t Worry Douglas” by David Melling
“Peely Wally” by Kali Stileman
“Scruffy Bear and the Sic White Mice” by Chris Wormell

Younger Readers
“One Dog and His Boy” by Eva Ibbotson
“Sky Hawk” by Gill Lewis
“Brilliant World of Tom Gates” by Liz Pichon

Older Readers
“A Monster Calls” by Patrick Ness
“My Sister Lives on a Mantelpiece” by Annabel Pitcher
“Grace” by Morris Gleitzman

The year 7s will all get inovled in voting for the younger hcildren category in reading lessons. If you would like to get involved in voting for the younger readers and older readers categories, please come and speak to the LRC staff.
